...and it takes 12 hours to recharge, of course during which I can't use it. What is a better alternative?

Two things. 1) don't leave it on all week, stick it in the charger when you are not using it. 2) depending on what it uses for a battery, you may be able to get a heavier battery pack. Both my digital cams (as well as some other stuff) use AA MHz batts. Less than a year ago the "biggest" you could get was 1800 mhr. Today we have all ready went past the 2500's and now I am using 2800 mhr batts. That's a 1000 more milli-amp hours use between charges.

well all product have there pro n con.

the pro is.
it last one week

the con is.
recharge time.

it did not sound bad to my b-coz
1_u can charge the phone at night or when u r not using it.
2_it dost not need the battery have to be full to make the call.

i would say the longest time the battery can let u talk in one charge is the best choice n of cause the quicker charge .
