Because the vast majority of latinos are catholic and thus conservative.

The whole Aztlan stuff is a lame myth the vast majority of the Mexicans don't give a damn about .
El Movimiento Estudiantil Chicano de Aztlan started in the late 1960’s ,so it's not some amazing novelty and not an imminent threat.Mexico isn't irredentist and won't support any secessionist movement .
The movement of the internally colonized "CHICANOS" was doomed to failure from the very start and unrealistic all you want
... illuminated by some subit inspiration, some irrationally panic-stricken histerical idiot started all this big fuss with Aztlan ,the big false problem
IT"S AN ARTIFICIAL PROBLEM.You've been living with irredentism since the Treaty of Guadalupe Hidalgo and you haven't the slightist idea.
You have nothing to fear.Put things in proper perspective

I'm a latino and I don't fall into the steorotype that you are trying to create. Even though I do support a comprehensive reform, I don't agree with many of the rallies illegals have done. I know illegals who don't agree with them either. It's an ignorant choice to say all illegals hate this country and want to take it over. I would say the ones acting like Hitler would be the anti-illegals because they don't even know why illegal immigration is present in the first place.
There are many historic reasons, it is not because we are Latinos and can't do things. Instead of having an arrogant attitude towards other countries, people should be glad that theirs didn't fall into the power of the exploiting governments.

They demand rights and other things on behalf of the mexican people, agitating against our legal system, against our citizens, against our society. They practically encourage gangs, anything anti-american and subversive, they're for it, they're about 2 steps from joining the 'death to america' crowd. It doesn't change the fact that they were wrong from the get-go, that the fundamental problem is Mexico's incapacity to support its' own, and if the voters at large nationwide had their eyes wide open and weren't so busy working their tails off to ultimately end up supporting all these people, they would have called an end to this a long time ago, abolishing 'amnesty cities' and the whole trip.
I say 'legal immigration only', and that with eyes wide open.

The Aztlan idea does frighten me. Any impossible dream that can be attempted only through violence is not good.
The same goes for the wishes of Hezbollah (which is no Israel)
