We live to make the earth a paradise. (Genesis 1:28; 2:8, 15) If we arrived through evolution, we are here for no reason, we are going nowhere, and our lives are meaningless.
Jehovah told why we are here when he created the first pair of human creatures. “Let us make man in our image,” God said to the Logos (who later came to earth as Jesus), “according to our likeness, and let them have in subjection the fish of the sea and the flying creatures of the heavens and the domestic animals and all the earth and every moving animal that is moving upon the earth.” God also made a garden in Eden and “proceeded to take the man and settle him in the garden of Eden to cultivate it and to take care of it.” Moreover, he gave a mandate to the first pair in Eden to “be fruitful and become many and fill the earth.”—Genesis 1:26, 28; 2:8, 15.
As offspring of Adam and Eve, we are here to populate the earth, to care for and cultivate it, and to exercise a loving stewardship over its plants and animals. We are equipped by God to do this by being made in his likeness—not in any physical appearance but in being endowed with certain attributes of his, such as love, wisdom, power, justice, and a desire to do purposeful work and feel achievement. It is being in the likeness of God in this way that sets us apart from all animals and causes us to ponder the ultimate questions that never occur to any other earthly creatures.
Life does have a purpose.—Isa. 45:18.
It is not compulsory. We all have a choice to serve God or not, who offers us everlasting life in a paradise on Earth as a grand reward after those who have ruined it have been done away with. To learn more of this fantastic future, visit http://www.watchtower.org

We live for the purpose we were created.
But nothing is compulsory, not even playing by the Creator's rules! However, there are consequences for all our choices & actions. Even pagans have an understanding of this, only they call it: "the natural law of retribution"! So play it safe live the by rules.

Life is a chance which is gave by god us to proof our commitment and who we are. If you care about your self you gonna depend on some one else for the sources you need to live. If you get sources from others then you should pay for that by yourself. That moment Life become compulsory. We start to live for ourselves and the way choose to travel for that we got into compulsory to live for others too. That's why we live. That how we used to live weather you like it or not.

The eternal question...
Purpose driven, or simply a random collection of molecules?
Decide for yourself, why do you live, what keeps you going?
