Give him space. Obviously something is bothering him and you need to give him the space and the room to work it through. If you call him repeatedly and hound him about what is wrong, he may even get more angry and distance himself more. So give him room to think about what is going on in his mind or his life, and be supportive. When he calls asks him if there is anything you can do to help him and express your concern for his needs. Once he calms down then you can address the situation, but in a calm measured, non defensive or anxious way.
If it is a pattern however, and he does this more and more, it could be something about the relationship. Until he actually tells you what it is you don't know what is going on. It could be about you, or it could be about his own life - work, school, parents. Sit tight and wait and see. Sometimes we all need space in our lives and from our relationships. It isn't the end of the world. He just may need time to get his head together and sort things through- whatever they are.

He's either hiding something, going through a thing, or cheating on you. I think you should surprise him vith a visit and investigate the scene, or call one of his best friends to ask wats going on and tell him 2 give you the details

Perhaps he is just busy, and he is trying to fit you into a busy schedule. I am sure that it is nothing to fret about. Does he have an e-mail address? Because if so you can talk to him longer on there than on the phone.

Relax. It's only been a day. It could be for a number of reasons that he isn't feeling chatty - sometimes people just don't feel like talking. Ask him if it worries you so much.
