It was probably just a reflection from their blue hair.

that's exciting! I quite have this gentle blue ring around the Iris of my brown eyes too! So did my father who replaced into 0.5 Cherokee indian and so did my brother. I quite have consulted with my medical doctors approximately it and that they look clueless! My eye scientific expert mentioned that it shows severe ldl cholesterol. yet my ldl cholesterol is well-known (i'm getting it checked frequently). So replaced into my dad's and my brother's too! i'm in stable wellbeing and not elderly yet! i'm involved to be responsive to if there are human beings of Indian descent who've this blue ring yet no obvious wellbeing situation to reason it.

It is definitely not cataracts, which are cloudy/milky looking patches in the middle. You see this phenomenon in brown-eyed people. It's pigment failure in the iris. Nothing dangerous.

This is called Arcus Senilis. It is due to cholesterol deposition.
