Depends. Love is a very funny and fragile thing. And it never makes sense. Its not supposed to. Why do you think there are so many love, love-hate, resentment songs on the radio? Why do you think Shakespear talked about love so much, and considered the mortals in A Mid-Summer Night's Dream ALL to be foolish. Is love foolish? No. But what is foolish is how we deal with it. That's the point of the play, I think. A love letter after a week, seems a little bizzarre, but at the same time, only that person knows their feelings. Would it be the best approach? No. But when do we humans ever make the best approach when it comes to love. All is fair in love and war, right? Well, not necessarily. That's the motto, but I wouldn't adhere to deeply to it. I wouldn't be too concerned about the letter. It just means that she has feelings for you. All you have to do, is learn to understand what she is trying to say. Us Guys really, really, have to work very hard on the empathy thing. But you'll get better as you practice it. The letter, only means one thing. Concern. Is it love? Well, that's her feeling, not yours. If you have trouble understanding it, ask her specific things about the letter. But don't ask her why she sent a letter after only one week? The key is to not try to read too much into anything. I've had this problem in my relationships, because I am very anylitcal and think that everything should make sense. But the truth is that it is truly lovlier since these things don't make sense. So, just don't fret about it. Sometimes it helps to try and read between the leans, and try to figure out the underlying message. After all there are different types of love.

You obviously have a communication gap with this girl. Be clear about what you want from a relationship. No need to freak out just talk to her and tell her that you think she is moving way to fast considering the time you have spent with her. Sounds like you shoplifted the pootie. That's fine but u should have given her heads up and let her make the choice. So quit 'Freaking out' over words on a paper and MAN UP and give her some respect as a human. Sh*t or get off of the pot !

That's kind of scary dude!
She may have a very low opinion of herself
and thinks you can make her feel better about
herself but you can't. Any guy she goes out with
she would most likely do this too,and these type
of females are usually the ones who turn into
the control freaks like the males who do the it to
women. Low self worth and low self esteem &
insecurity tends to create abusive,controlling
males and females.
Be careful dude, and let her go in a nice way if
possible? If not,and you keep going out with
her, watch for the warning signs that may
follow because one week of dating her should
not make he think she's in love so soon. Thats
not normal at all. Be careful!!!

I wouldn't freak out but I wound find it rather startling, and realize that the person writing it was more infatuated then in love. Love takes time to develop and grow. Our young folks confuse infatuation, crushes, and lust with love. None of those things are love.

i wouldnt freak but it would definitly make me wonder. in the first week to few weeks me and my bf were going out he would write me letters, but not love letters, tell me about his day, that hes going to call me later on after he gets home from school, ask me questions. like when are u comfortable on a date to kiss, hug, or whatever. like whats my fav. colors, what do i like to do. when would u like to go out. that kinda stuff. it wasnt until i think like the second month that we actually started writing love letters.

No, I would not freak out but I would be concerned enough to address the problem. This person is moving waaaaaaaay too fast.

Yes, I would be really worried. I would probably back off from the relationship. That sounds like stalking or something.
