Home worship with friends. This is how the original church was and can be again if necessary. Just take a look at how things are organized in China and many Mid-East countries for a look at how we can still worship under the worst of circumstances.

Religion is a morbid cultural perversion that is unhealthy and not good. Spiritualism is a faith of one. Religion, on the other hand, is a social club of the feeble-minded and fearful who are led by others. Religion horribly, historically hobbles the wholesome and healthy progress of mankind, and divides us unnecessarily and miserably. Any entity, such as a religion, that does not recognize and respect the common decent spirit of all people, that values only the lives and souls of its tiny number of club "members", and that thinks it is the only "right" path to grace and goodness. . . is a hate group. Hate is madness. And, mad men have ruled this world long enough. Did you hear about the nice "Christian" madman in Abilene, Texas who announced his prediction of a nuclear attack in the U.S. this month? You should read his announcement. How sick can people get? Are all Christians in the U.S. as mad as him? Are Christians so mad that they could even . . . say . . . launch Armeggedon themselves for merely the horney pleasure of a self-fulfilling prophesy? If Christians truly believe in Armageddon and that we are DOOMED, then clearly they have no intentions of helping to make this world a better, safer place. Then, clearly, they do not care about our children's future . . . only about their own lives, their own salvations, about catching that promised first class and "priviledged" private express shuttle back to wherever they've deluded themselves into believing they "go" after "DoomsDay". Any one who would not help to better the world of here-and-now. . . for the furture of our children and grandchildren, sounds insane and selfish, insane and selfish enough to make them dangerous. If Christians are really that demented or brainwashed or confused or whatever, they need to be locked up right now. These weirdo religious fanantics and "true believers" mean the rest of us NO GOOD if they believe there is NO USE, since the Bible and the shamans say there is NO FUTURE anyway. Get my point here? Can you see why many people perceive Christians to be as great a threat to the survival of mankind as any Muslim terrorist? You asked, how would I sustain myself if the churches were padlocked . . . AND the Christian Cracker madmen and the Muslim madmen and the Jewish madmen, and the Catholic madmen and all the other hateful religious mad people in this world were LOCKED UP, too? Oh, honey, I'd stand watch on THAT padlock, alright. If Christian organizations support, promote or encourage in any way any nuclear event in this county, I assure you, decent rational folks will be the ones who "rise up", and, they will lock up all the demented Christians in this land and give them very large doses of anti-psychotic medication for the rest of their hopeless-assed lives. THAT is the "real future possiblity" if Christians, or any fanatic or madman, continue to participate in such utter madness and hate.

Churches are only buildings. if each and every church in the world were totally destroyed then the people would continue their worship whereever and whenever they decided. there are other buildings where services could be held or outside in the great outdoors where being surrounded by nature's glories might help provide further inspiration to those worshiping THE DEITY -- THE CREATOR OF EVERYTHING

The Church is the assembly of all believers of all ages, not a building. Where two or three are gathered in my name (The Lord Jesus Christ) there am I in the middle of them and within them.

Matt 18:20 For where two or three are come together in my name, there am I among them.

I would guess that we would do the same things many others already have to do.

Meet secretly in homes of other believers for worship services and fellowship.

This is already a very real situation in many countries and if it happens here, we would react in the same way. Nothing would stop us from actual worship, only the building would change.

We would meet in each others homes like the early church in the book of Acts.

are you people crazy? who is threatening to padlock churches? Maybe in the former USSR. A better question is how do I get these missionaries off my front porch.

It is a hard thing to teach, but the faith is not the brick and mortar- the building. Faith is the belief, values, morals, actions and social justice to your fellow man.

You are referring to a building being locked. The church is made of people, who cannot be so easily locked - as long as group-think doesn't take over.

I DON'T NOW, AND WOULDN'T THEN, NEED A BUILDING TO HAVE A HEALTHY FEAR AND STRONG BELIEF IN GOD.

I DON'T BELIEVE IT'S A POSSIBILITY BUT EVEN IF IT DID HAPPEN, YOU COULD OPPRESS ANY CULTURES RELIGION AND FAITH BUT NEVER STOP IT FROM PROGRESSING AND GROWING STRONGER. IN FACT, IT WOULD DO THE OPPOSITE.
