Christians and telekinesis...is it bad? And when i say telekinesis, i dont mean the witchcraft kinda thing...i mean, making your mind grow, and learning more about yourself, and not using it as a super power or anything like that...but making your mind grow. Is it bad? or should Christians not do it?

I like the answer where they say that they think God gave us some things that we have not discovered yet...it might be true. but i mean, when i say telekinesis, i mean growing, learning, discovering our brain's potential...is that bad or not? i think telekinesis would be cool to know how to use as long as it wasnt for your own selfish reasons

I guess you could also say that this has to do w/ the percentage of our brains that we use. Don't average/normal people use like 10 to like 17% of their brains? And also Albert Einstein...didnt he use like 33% of his mind or something? If i got my percentages wrong, please feel free to correct me

There is nothing wrong with expanding your horizons and learning. If you are Christian, you can still read about other religions in order to get a better understanding of their faith.

It has been said, particularly by Jesus Christ himself, that those things that he was capable of, His 'Miracles" were well within human capability, just as long as we believe in Him, and "..follow a Christ-like life." JC was the ultimate Pagan Philosopher / Metaphysician, and with what He might have been able to teach the original Apostles had He had enough time on Earth might have been truly amazing stuff. JC was all about expanding the mind, growth in physical and spiritual ways. Science has recently seen some pretty amazing brainwave activity from subject who are apparently 'connected' with a 'higher' reality while deep in prayer (or meditation, or trance -where our word 'transcend' / 'transcendental' comes from- ) and the scientists believe that this connection is with the Godhead. If we can achieve this state, and learn to act concioulsy from within this state, all things are possible.

Since this focuses upon oneself as opposed to God, it would be a sin. Simply expanding your mind as in gaining knowledge is not particularly if its knowledge of God.

telekinesis[1] (< Greek τῆλε + κίνησις, literally "distant-movement") or TK, is defined according to the Online Medical Dictionary[2], published by the Department of Oncology, University of Newcastle upon Tyne, UK, as the following (used with permission): "the influence of mind upon matter, as the use of mental 'power' to move or distort an object." Psychokinesis may also be described by other names, such as remote influencing, distant influencing, remote mental influence, distant mental influence, directed conscious intention, or The Force. Both terms are defined in the Oxford University-published A Dictionary of Psychology, but with the cautionary tagline on each: "a conjectural paranormal phenomenon.

Jesus had telekinesis. How do you think he turned the wine into water? Calmed the sea?

I believe it is dangerous...not what a Christian should get involved in. Bible says stay away from fortellers, spirit mediums and things of that nature. I put that in about the same category. Opening your mind to the unknown is dangerous...you can invite demons into your life...same with meditating...(don't mean the Bible way) I mean clearing your mind of all thought...not good.

You can grow your mind by peering into and studying God's Word more deeply. You will be amazed what you learn about yourself in there.

I think when God made us, He gave us abilities that we haven't discovered yet. I think He would want us to do our best to use our minds to their full potential, as long as it's not for evil.
