What exactly IS mexican ancestry, do you even understand their heritage? 'mexican' isn't an ethnicity, it's a nationality, ergo we will never have a 'mexican' president. We may have a hispanic president someday, but the mexican president is the president of Mexico, not the United States. I'm sure you wish it was otherwise, but 'no sale'.

The office of the presidency is a very pwoerful post, and requires national appeal. If Women as a gender and African-Americans as a racial group have not yet been able to do it, and those groups have been dealing within america's society when it was only 13 colonies. I epect it to be a while before a latin american can obtain it. Moreover, a latin american can not win the midwest , south, or majority of east coast. They can win the west coast I believe.
The individual will probably be latin american in name but not a real representative of the common latin american

i don't think America is ready to elect a Mexican president, especially with all the immigration issues so hotly debated. i think the country would sooner be ready and willing to elect a black president or a woman president first.
