my son was born with squint in both eyes he is wearing glasses since aged one and has had surgery. One eye is fine and the other goes upwards since surgery ..has anyone experienced this?

Sorry, but you cannot outgrow a squint. Early treatment, such as glasses, can give very good results. The important thing is that you got him visual treatment early. The early treatment will prevent him from having permanent visual damage to that eye

My son has visual issues also...related to extreme prematurity. He had surgery but it was purely cosmetic to make his eyes look more normal...we knew it would do nothing to improve his vision. He sees distance with one eye and nearness with the other. He cannot co-ordinate his eyes to use them together. He has always been this way so it is "normal" to him. Only downsides are that people think he isn't looking at them when they speak to him (he is) because of the way his eyes are and it has affected his depth perception making driving somewhat of a challenge.
