I am a woman who loves to fish!!! I fish 2 to 3 times a week. I can't seem to get enough of it. Although I am very feminine I am able to do everything that a man can do when it comes to fishing. I have a very large family and every year they go to Arkansas for a week long fishing trip. I think it sounds like a great amount of fun. Everytime I mention women going they laugh at me. I'm really curious... What goes on during these trips and why do they not want women along? Even the ones that don't need to be taken care of or babied? Please answer honestly. Thanks!

I've been taking wilderness canoe camping and fishing trips for over twenty years. I go up in Northern Canada. I've been on stag trip, and trips when women come too. I've actually had some of my best trips, when women went. My only real complaint about when women come along is that it seems they always catch bigger fish than me. LOL Actually, I'm an old fart, and don't play around on my wife. Interested in taking a fishing trip next May? but, gotta warn you. We WILL have bears and wolves around, and occasionally see mountain lions. We camp, fish, and sit around huge fires, telling stories, joking around, and eating like pigs. Where I go, I've NEVER seen another human after we leave the road. As a matter of fact, when we pee, it ends up in the Arctic Ocean. Yup, we go waaay up north.

I don't know about what goes on in Arkansas, but I hope it would consist of catching lots of smallmouth bass and a few good Kentucky bass at Table Rock Lake. Maybe a float trip in a canoe and some camping on the shore and eating fresh caught fish. Or how about trout fishing the creeks or some of the other excellent trout water in Ark. Sounds like a nice vacation destination for sure!

That's what I would be doing, and doing it with a wife or girlfriend if she were an avid fisher as you seem to be.

Some guys have all the luck!

a whole lot of worm drounding. All kidding aside, they go to spend time doing the things that they are usually told not to. Not nasally bad but with no manners. I to am a fisher women. I found that I could go out with or without the guys and have a fantastic time as well. It's a great way to spend time with your kids, they could be in a worse inviorment you know. Personaly I have seen my family grow up and to this day they fish. I for one say plan a trip of your own, you go girl!

You get up early and make some eggs and steak, fill up on coffee and head out to the water, fish all day, come home clean the fish and have supper, sit around the fire, drink beer or whiskey brag about your fish, burp and fart alot without being yelled at, sniff and rate the farts on a scale from 1-10 taking consideration on substance, reverbiration and stench, drink some more, tell fishin tales, give the guy who caught the least amout of fish or the smallest fish crap about his in ablity to catch the "hawg" , drink some more and head off to bed to do it all over again. It's also a time for guys to be guys and not to have to worry about washig dishes and putting their socks inthe hamper. Guy time plain and simple. I have known guys who said they were fishin for a week and scampered off to Vegas for a few days and who knows what they did but as far as me and my buddies, it's a week straight of fishin and being little kids again. get your girlfriends together and have your own fishin week. Substitute the fart contest with a pillow fight or something :-)

Some guys use fishing trips as a way to get away from all things female for a while. That's all it is. Many guys feel inhibited around women, and like they haveto watch what they say all the time. They just want to let their hair down.

You can go fishing with me. I LIKE having women around.

i think it's just a lot of male bonding. they get a chance to get away and say whatever they want, eat whatever they want, do what everthey want. I'm not saying it bad, but i think they enjoy just being the only ones in control for a little while. if they want to have a cookout with only meat they can... there won't be anyone tellin gthem to eat salad too.

You should plan a girls fishing trip. Gather some of the women in your family and go!

~Eating, fishing and sleeping until that gets stale. Then it's the babes and the booze (or chemicals for those who indulge) and the cards. If it's a guys' trip, you are not welcome because you don't pass the physical. You know, like the girls night out.
