Tell your friends not to invite anyone they aren't sure will be cool. And then don't open the door to randoms.

Invitations are the way to go, definitely. And if crashers show, call the police. Don't threaten to call and then back off, actually do it. Party crashing is a form of trespassing. Try not to talk about the party too much where people might hear details - the less information that gets around, the less likely it is that unwanteds will show. And, if you have a couple of big burly man-friends, it doesn't hurt to have them on some kind of "alert" incase you need them to show people the door.

LOL...my ex bf did this once, I was so embarassed. He always wanted to crash any party that we happened to drive by. I told him no way we can't do that, if we are invited I will go with you, but I will not crash. One day he told me were invited to a party..we get there and as we are walking up the driveway, a girl comes out and asks us to leave. I turned to him and I said, "YOU TOLD ME WERE INVITED!!" The girl asked us to leave again. I started walking back to the car. He just stood there. Another girl came out and also asked him to leave. We left. I never went to a party with him again. The only thing you can really do is ask people to leave before they are in the house.

get someone to be security if you can't afford to hire a couple of guards but the best way is to buy those little bands that they give out at the clubs, you can get them from any party supply store and they aren't that costly.
passing them out yourself with keep tabs on who has one.

have someone at the door to check the list of invited people ,[or send invitations and they have to show it to get in[ and the rule is... not on list or invitation you do not get in. if they give you a problem call the police or if you are a teen tell your parents and they will assist you
