hi:}
yeah it is scary ,,,,,i just don't buy that ANYONE has the right to judge others simply because they have CHOSEN to believe a certain way ..
according to Christians anyone can go to heaven [Hitler, ted bundy etc etc .]all they have to do at their last breath is say i believe and poof like magic they are spared hell ???
but noooo is mother is going straight to hell because she does not THINK like him [pretty sad if you ask me }.
i love it when Christians say well you just wait till the rapture ???
I'm like huh ???yeah then you'll wish you believed like us ,but no you will be left behind .................id really like to know how they THINK they KNOW everything .
i am a spiritualist and believe in one simple truth "treat others as you wish to be treated "if everyone truly TRIED to live with those words guess what no wars,no hatred ,no abuse .....
anyway just some thoughts totally agree with you ,,,,very narrow and scary minded some of them .

a friend of mine defined the meaning of Hell as " a seperation from GOD. " which seems like a very good defination. None of us know what Heaven or Hell are like or where they are. To me the problem in many religions is when the minister says in his sermons " ladies and gentlemen, boys and girls you are going to Heaven or Hell. the choice is up to you. which will it be ? "

so many Christians do not respect other belief systems and do not care that there are many ways in which one can individually worship THE DEITY. these Christians do possess a scary feeling when they can't realize " that GOD is to big to be in only one place. "

It is not enough to know God and believe in Him to go to Heaven. satan and his demons know God and believe He exists, doesn't mean they are going to heaven. All have sinned!
Repentance, and accepting the free gift of salvation, that Jesus Christ offers us,because He loves us, offers us the gift of eternal life.

I don't believe I am hardcore for my Faith.Nor do I care if someone else believes I am a Jesus freak. I can not deny what I KNOW to be true. I do believe there are extremist,in every religion, that claim to know the Truth and the Light of the world, but they walk in darkness.

The Swedenborgian denomination of the Christian Church:

Jesus Christ is the "I AM" or God Himself in a visible body.

"For in him dwelleth all the fullness of the Godhead bodily."
-- Colossians 2:9

"Have I been so long time with you, and yet hast thou not known me, Philip? he that hath seen me hath seen the Father; and how sayest thou then, Shew us the Father?"
-- John 14:9

"Jesus said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you Before Abraham was, I AM."
-- John 8:58

In the Swedenborgian denomination of the Christian Church, the Father, Son and Holy Spirit is the Good, the Truth and what comes forth from the marriage of Good and Truth, or the two elements of God and the resultant action, just like the soul, the body and the works in a single person.

To people that are scared yes, 'hardcore' Christians would be scary; however if it takes that to make you think about your situation with God. That is a good thing.

That is selfishness in it's purest form. He WANTS to believe that because it states it that he will have the best thing man can comprehend just for believing something and he is so selfish that he accepted his mom going to the worst place just so he could believe he would go to the best place.

In other words, this guy wouldn't risk his life for you if you were wounded on the batlefield...no matter how little the threat of death was.

I am not Christian but I do find it interesting that people assume they know the will of God based on a book written by men that heard voices.

Its intimidation pure and simple. Some religions want you to belive of your own freewill but then threaten you with eternal hell fire and damanation if you don't believe.

I shouldn't be precise, but only ONE religion is acceptable to god amongst all the other religions, though you HAVE to respect the other religions as well. I couldn't say what religion it is, but yeah.
