I have no medical problems ,I am extremely fit and healthy..but there are days where I get a mild ache like pain in my chest ,they come and subside every day for the past 2 yrs or so...

Does anyone know the reason behind this ?

Yes, if you have bad stress and anxiety, it makes your muscles tense and causes your heart to work harder and beat faster. Talk to your doc about this- it can be easily fixed.

Yes anxiety can definitely cause pain like this, thats why people think there having a heart attack.

anxiety can cause the intercostal muscles to contract and casue a mild pain like that

i would still get it checked to make sure

Anxiety attacks can mimmick a heart attack but wont know for sure unless you get this checked out. Its nothing to let go.

Is it like a pressure like a small toddler is perched atop the center of your ribcage? If so, Im not sure what you've got, but I've got it too.

I get that from indigestion. I don't overeat, but too much coffee or diet soda will make me feel that way.
