How old are you?? That would help to answer if you are older what cums after making this small commitment is different than say when you are in school. It also changes with locality. Answering is hard if not impossible, but talking about that is a good idea for the two of you. This mystery part of romance backfires a lot.

Start biulding a relationship - spend more time together, kissing, caring for each other, share each other's problems and good moments and etc.

You have to give up all your freedom and report your whereabouts, even if it is just going to the toilet. Also he/she has a right to prevent you from interacting with the opposite sex and will act jealous whenever your phone rings.
