i dont like mine crispy, i like it kinda chewy better, to me if i can grab a piece at the ends and it just snaps its way overdone, i like it just done enough so you can fold a piece in half to put on a sandwich without it breaking. and i also cook it in the microwave between paper towels, so much less mess that way. how do you make yours? and who else thinks that maple flavored bacon really sucks.

I agree 100%! I thought I was the only one who liked bacon that way. Glad to see that I'm not alone. My husband and kids like theirs well done and almost burned. I can't stand it that way. It tastes bitter and nasty to me. I haven't tried the maple flavored bacon, but I don't really like maple flavored stuff, especially if its artificially flavored. Real maple is good though, perhaps on pancakes to go with the bacon. Now look, you've gone and made me hungry.Think I'll go make some !!!

I use either the microwave or the foreman grill, depending on how I intend to use the bacon. The microwave seems to be easier to control the texture. The foreman enables me to capture the grease which I may need to improve the flaver of something else I am preparing with the meal.
