i would reccommend looking into it. call the va hospital or one of the groups like the dav, vfw, pva, or legion. they might know about it or you can always ditch the mail and donate to them, they need it too! thanks for keeping the vets in your thoughts and helping when you can!

There many unscrupulous frauds that will try to get good-hearted, well meaning people to contribute to a wide variety of charitable organizations...kind of like phishing....they will try to emulate the legitimate charitable organizations with telephone solicitations and "official" looking mail requests. If you feel that you would like to contribute to a legitimate veteran's organizations....go to the local telephone directory and look up the local chapter of DAV (Disabled Veterans Association), American Legion, (VFW)Veteran's Of Foreign Wars or a local Veteran's Hospital. They will able to direct you to the legitimate veteran's groups.

I would suggest you realize that anyone can say they are going to help the veterans. Even if they are legitimate, the percentage they keep for themselves is not generally governed by law. In other words, they could give one cent for every one hundred dollars.

If you want to help the vets, give it directly to an organization that does help them like the Veterans of Foreign War, etc.

I would call your local Chamber of Commerce and ask if this organization is legitate. Or call the State Office of Consumer Affairs. I would not be shocked to know they are not.
