Some work very well and other's won't work even if they are of the same race just human nature! Win some lose some!

They can, it's just hard. The white person is looked down on by many whites and the black person is looked down on by many blacks.
Our view of races have improved since the sixties but some taboos still remain. If they are willing to take the abuse then more power to them.
