Well, the comment to me was always...cold hands warm heart too.
But it turns out that I have Raynauds. It is an autoimmune circulation problem that is caused by microclotting and I have have to keep myself warm at all times.
Raynaud's phenomenon is a disorder that affects the blood vessels in the fingers, toes, ears, and nose. This disorder is characterized by episodic attacks, called vasospastic attacks, that cause the blood vessels in the digits (fingers and toes) to constrict (narrow). Raynaud's phenomenon can occur on its own, or it can be secondary to another condition such as scleroderma or lupus.
Although estimates vary, recent surveys show that Raynaud's phenomenon may affect 5 to 10 percent of the general population in the United States. Women are more likely than men to have the disorder. Raynaud's phenomenon appears to be more common in people who live in colder climates. However, people with the disorder who live in milder climates may have more attacks during periods of colder weather.

I have the same problem and I was diagnosed with having Raynauds Syndrome. What ended up happening is I was put on high blood pressure meds to increase the flow of circulation and it helped. I would suggest going to your doctor and finding out what he/she thinks as well. It could just be cold hands and feet. Or it could be something more serious. My podiatrist didn't believe me until I was at an appointment one day and I was sitting on the examination table and my feet went from normal color to purplr to blue to white in the matter of 2 minutes. I would go to your Dr and make sure it isn't serious though.

It just means that your circulation is a little slow. I have the same problem. When my husband and I went to buy a new car last month.. he bought one with dual climate control.. because I always have the heat on the floor because my feet get cold.. and his end up getting too hot. lol..
Don't worry about it. But if you smoke, or live in a big city where there's lots of smog or something.. then it could be causing it. Those are the most likely contributors to poor circulation.

Could be Raynaud's disease. When exposed to cold temperatures, the blood supply to the fingers or toes, and in some cases the nose or earlobes, is markedly reduced; the skin turns pale or white (called pallor), and becomes cold and numb. When the oxygen supply is depleted, the skin colour turns blue (called cyanosis). These events are episodic, and when the episode subsides or the area is warmed, the blood flow returns and the skin colour first turns red (rubor), and then back to normal, often accompanied by swelling and tingling. Does this sound like you? If not, you might just have cold hands. the dryness might be a form of excema. Maybe go see your doctor?

The most likely cause of cold hands and feet is hypothyroidism. Get your thyroid hormone level checked.

I have the same problem. If you are physically active your blood pressure could be low and that is what is causing the coldness.
