I kind of dread going to RCIA class because I don't want to talk about all of my sins and private life in a class full of people. Does God really want to me discuss my private life w/ anyone else but "Him" and or a priest?

No in fact that will not happen. It is designed to help you understand the faith and for you to help others in the class understand your faith.

There is a story that illustrates the Catholic attitude on sin.

A nun claimed to have a vision of God. A big hoopla came about from this and the local bishop wanted it stopped. He came to investigate and so decided to give the nun a question only God could answer. He asked her, "what sins did I confess when I went to confession last?"

When God next appeared to the nun, she informed the bishop. He came and asked for the answer. She told him that God said "I forget."

Jesus liberates us from our sins. If you hold them to close to you, then you won't let him free you. To be Catholic is to be joyful.

Fear not as the angel says and welcome.

One is not initiated into Christianity! God doesn't require you to confess to others. We confess to the only one who can forgive those sins.
However, as you grow in grace, your testimony becomes a part of your witness to others. In Revelation it states : "They will be healed by the word of their testimony"..Just let things come naturally..But NO you dont HAVE to..
