Putting "phobia" at the end of a word simple means "to fear", an uncontrolable fear at that ! I have a Phobia, certainly not homophobia but a phobia that is unexplainable to how I got it and why I have it. I know people who claim homophobia who simply dislike the lifestyle. That is not being a "phobia" then, but people who just want to label and blame.
Personally I dont know why anyone would care what anyone else does in their bedroom, living room, bathroom or on the roof for that matter ! It's just plain stupidity. Then the high and mighty claim its wrong, it says so in the bible ! Well it also says in the bible that you should not wear clothes of two different fabrics for it is wrong. So much for your bluejeans and sweat shirt...nanny nanny !! AND like "Matthew 7" says... Do not judge others ! : )

First you might define "homophobia", morals, and ethics.
Is it unethcial or immoral to dislike homosexualtiy? No
Is it immoral or unethical to avoid associating with homosexuals? No, we all have the right to choose our own friends.
Is it unethical to discriminate against homosexuals, refusing
to sell to them, rent to them, or hire them. This would be Yes.

Neither because there's nothing wrong with disliking homosexuality. The problem is most radical gays view straight people as homophobic simply because they're heterosexual. I have nothing against gay people in general, but the demeanor of some (i.e. wrist-flapping, lisps) I find quite annoying. Does that make me a homophobe? No it doesn't. So when I say "Stay away from me" it's because you're annoying, not because you're gay. But then again, if they were straight they probably wouldn't act that way. Silly queers!

People as a whole seem to need a scapegoat. Homosexuals have become a popular victim. Homophobia arises not only out of a need for a scapegoat, but also out of fear that it might be contageous, and ultimately ignorance (believing that someone would intentionally choose to be a homosexual).

Great question, however there is no evidence to support the notion that immortal people such as The Highlander are either homophobic or indeed real

I don't know which to choose because it's not something that everyone faced their entire lifetime. Noone knows whats right or wrong until we actually learn to live with it.

Both.
It is immoral in attempting to force your beliefs onto others as well as unethical in attempting to use your beliefs to affect those who do not believe as you do.

It is neither, as long as it is just a phobia. However, like any other phobia it needs psychiatric treatment.
Beyond phobia..if it becomes hatred and leads to violence..then it is illegal.
