I can understand why he is upset. When people are upset they say things that are hurtful and wind up regretting their words later.

The only thing you can do is what others have said. Put up flyer's, call the dog pound and the shelters. That shows him you are truly care about what happened and are being responsible in trying to find his puppy. I will pray the puppy is found in good health.
I would also apologize, as I am sure you already have done. Accidents happen with all of us.

Maybe the puppy was stolen. Offer a reward for its return.

It's understandable that he would be upset, but shoot...we all make mistakes, right? I'm sure he's not perfect either. Do what you can to locate the puppy and don't worry about your "boyfriend." He'll get over it eventually. Next time...tell him to adopt from the local shelter. Shelter dogs make great pets!

Forget him for now and put all your time into finding the puppy. Your boyfriend is upset right now and well, dogs do run. Hello...where was the leash if this dog doesnt listen to you. Its called alot of responsibility to raise a puppy. I hope this puppy has tags for if someone spots it.

Then, SAIANARA, ADIOS, and CIAO toddler! Your boyfriend's sparkling emotional maniuplation shouldn't take you down. If he's that shallow, he's not worth being with him. Your common mistake fee his immature reaction a dating (via his selection.) I say grieve your losses, and pass on. Cheer up. you will sooner or later be on the right place, on the right time, to fulfill that precise somebody. you're with Mr. precise now, which does no longer unavoidably mean that it relatively is going any the place. There are only few things you can do.

1) put up posters and see if anyone has identified it
2) offer to replace the lost animal
3) apologize

Really, three are nothing else you can do. It may have been a very cherished gift but it was purely accidental (right?) that you lost it. Let him get over it and hopefully he will soon.

Worry about the puppy, not the money! It could get run over, starve to death, etc. Put up signs, call the local humane society or shelter, work together to find the dog and please don't focus on the money!!!! It's a LIFE.

Like I said earlier, leave him for saying what he said to you. He sounds like a loser. Yeah so you lost his dog, he shouldn't threaten you. When he rather pick the dog over you, what does that tell you??
