One of the main reasons that I have converted from a catholic to an Orthodox is this. How can Jesus be the son of god, while God is a single individual with no other to acompany him.Orthodox is VERY similar to Islam (I mean the russian orthodox) and every thing in orthodoxy has all the sense. I support the orthodox people by saying Jesus is not the Son of God, that God had no child, and that Jesus is sent here as a prophet. And I say that Orthodoxy is the right type of Christianity.

Hey guys!!! For those who say "read the bible...read the bible" just shutup and mind your own buisness. I have read it millions of times, what I am saying is I support the orthodox bible! I believe that Jesus is not at all the son of god, nor there is no son for God, just as the russian orthodox people do, and I did not say that I am not believing in Jesus.

Due to the 1st Amendment, you are entitled to your opinion. Due to the same Amendment, I am entitled to disagree with you.

You do have your right to say that
It looks as though you are presenting a debate here rather than a question.
There are many scripture verses in the bible that support Jesus as God's son, only begotten son, son in whom I am well pleased etc etc
As I am unfamiliar with the scripture that the Orthodox follow, I can't support your argument. You would have to elaborate on your point in order to open the debate further without getting all of the destructive and disgusting answers you will get from your comment.

The Bible says that there is only one God in all existence at all time, (Isaiah 43:10; 44:6,8; 45:5, etc.).
there is only one God who exists as three simultaneous and eternal persons: the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. By "person" is meant the characteristics of self awareness, speech, having a will, emotions, etc.
Therefore, there are three persons. The Father is not the same person as the Son; the Son is not the same person as the Holy Spirit; and the Holy Spirit is not the same person as Father as each of them have a will and speak to each other and to people. They are not three separate gods and are not three separate beings. They are three distinct persons; yet, they are all the one God.
They are in absolute perfect harmony consisting of one substance. They are coeternal, coequal, and copowerful. If any one of the three were removed, there would be no God.
Jesus is God in human flesh. He is not half God and half man. He is fully divine and fully man. That is, Jesus has two distinct natures: divine and human. As the SCripture says, "In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God...14and the Word became flesh, and dwelt among us..." (John 1:1,14).
This means that in the divine word became flesh in the single person of Jesus who is, then, both human and divine in nature. The divine nature was not changed.

1. why did Jesus refer to God as His Father in heaven?
2. why did God refer to Him as "my beloved Son" at his baptism?
3. If God is only a unity, and not a trinity, then why does God say in
Genesis, "let US make man in OUR image".
Does not Russian Orthodoxy also confession the Apostles Creed, the Nicene Creed, and the Athenasian Creed. All of which state that Jesus is the Son of God.

Most importantly...What does the Bible say??? That is our source of Truth, not man-made religious groups. Want the Truth, read the Bible, which clearly says again, and again, and again, that Jesus is the Son of God. God sent His only Begotten Son to earth to die for our sins. How much clearer can this get????? What is all the big confusion??? It's as simple as 1..2..3..!

The Triunity of God can be likened to a plant. Stem, leaf and root consitute but one plant; each has a distinction incommunicable to the other two; none is the plant without the other two; each with the other two is the plant.
Father Son and Holy Spirit are ONE GOD; each has a property incommunicable to the other two; none is God without the other two; each with the other two is God.
Jesus is indeed the Son of God - if you believe the Bible, then you have to believe the whole Bible, which is God's inspired Word to us.
In John's Gospel chapter 1 v 18 it says:
No one has ever seen God, but His only Son, who is himself God.

I believe the Bible. The Bible is very clear on the subject..
Mattew 1:18
Now the birth of Jesus Christ was on this wise: When as his mother Mary was espoused to Joseph, before they came together, she was found with child of the Holy Ghost.
Acts 5:4
Whiles it remained, was it not thine own? and after it was sold, was it not in thine own power? why hast thou conceived this thing in thine heart? thou hast not lied unto men, but unto God.
Here in the Mathew quote it say that Mary was found to be with Child of the Holy Spirit. Then in the Act quote is says that the Holy Spirit is God.. So Jesus was the Son of God in the flesh.. Jim

when you see that there was a 1st earth age when satan fell (rev 12) and realize the new creation was in flesh, GOD AND HIS ANGELS (ELOHIM) said: 'let us make man in our image. you are made in the image you had in 1st world age, born in a water birth into this flesh world. difference is JESUS was the only BEGOTTEN SON of GOD.
call HIM EMMANUEL,GOD WITH US. if you've seen the SON, you've seen the FATHER.
you must go to a strong's concordance to translate from english to hebrew/greek back to english to be able to learn truth instead of doctrines of men. i don't know where you are in the world, but check out my instructions below. GOD is waiting for you to understand HIS love letters.

There is no "right" type of Christianity. Everyone has their own beliefs. I personally believe that Jesus is the son of God. You do not. That is your own personal belief. Everyone has their own "right" type of Christianity. Your right type is Russian Orthodox. My right type is Catholic. To each his own.

Hey, I like your logic! Certainly God does not bear children as humans do. I believe the "son of God" means that we all are sons and daughters of God. Jesus was no more a son than anyone else. The Bible also calls Jesus Emmanuel, God with us. We all comprise the God force. Hmmmm... think about that one!

Why would anyone say allahu akbar (God is greatest) with one breath and say God cannot have a child with another? In that aspect Orthodox and Islam have one thing in common, they put limitations on their maker, posing Him not as a spirit, but as a kind of elevated man. To the rest of us, He is all powerful, if he wants a Kid, he will have a kid.
