Obstacles help us to rise to greater heights as human, and
spiritual beings.

Faith is very easy to say you have during easy times. Faith is believing in a thing not seen. So, inherently faith is difficult and only held onto through a firm belief in the object of faith. So, does you having hard times mean God does not exist?

READ THIS WHOLE THING. IT'S SO DANG TRUE* 1. At least 2 people in this world love you so much they would die for you. 2. At least 15 people in this world love you in some way. 3. The only reason anyone would ever hate you is because they want to be just like you. 4. A smile from you can bring happiness to anyone, even if they don't like you. 5. Every night, SOMEONE thinks about you before they go to sleep. 6. You mean the world to someone. 7. If not for you, someone may not be living. 8. You are special and unique. 9. Someone that you don't even know exists loves you. 10. When you make the biggest mistake ever, something good comes from it. 11. When you think the world has turned its back on you, take a look: you most likely turned your back on the world. 12. When you think you have no chance of getting what you want, you probably won't get it, but if you believe in yourself, probably, sooner or later, you will get it. 13. Always remember the compliments you received. Forget about the rude remarks. 14. Always tell someone how you feel about them; you will feel much better when they know. 15. If you have a great friend, take the time to let them know that they are great. Add this as a comment to ten of your friends tonight and at midnight your true love will find you. Something good will happen to you at 2:25 tomorrow. Get ready for the biggest shock of your life. This should help and remember all things work out for the better just have faith never lose that! 1 Peter 4:12-13: "Beloved, think it not strange concerning the fiery trial which is to try you, as though some strange thing happened unto you: But rejoice, inasmuch as ye are partakers of Christ's sufferings; that, when his glory shall be revealed, ye may be glad also with exceeding joy."

1 Thessalonians 5:16-18: "Rejoice evermore. Pray without ceasing. In every thing give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you."
God Bless!

Listless,

This is what works for me. In the times of goodness, remember to ask for the "Faith of Jesus". God has said that He will withhold no good thing from His children. Since we are supposed to be the disciples of Jesus, then we should copy Him at all times. He relied on The Father for everything, saying that of Himself, He could do nothing. Remember that you are powerless, and that the greatest Power that exists, loves you supremely. Seek faith above all things. Always ask for more of the Spirit, and for more faith, and you will never lack.

I have found that during hard times, it is faith that has helped pull me through. I never received any miracles but I just felt better to get everything out in prayer.

Remember that Jesus loves you always and forever. Ask Him to hold your hand during bad times and help you keep to the path he has made for you. Bad times help to make us stronger and grow in faith. Read Hebrews 12:3-4 to remind you what Jesus went through for you.

Remind yourself of what you know about God.Remind yourself of other hard times that you've made it through, and how God helped you through them. Remind yourself of where you've been and how far you've come. And ask a good friend to remind you of any of these things, that you may have forgotten, how Jesus was there for you in other similar situations.
Lamentations 3 is a good reading for this, in the first 20 verses or so poor old Jeremiah is just exhausted and depressed, and he feels like his whole life's work has been for nothing. Then he stops himself and says in essence, "Wait a minute, I know better, let me bring to mind what God really is and has done for me" and the rest of the chapter is about that, and what God Will do for those who trust in him.
It's a good read for when your back is against the wall.
Praying for and with you.

Pray, and read the word. Faith comes by hearing, and hearing the Word of God. Listen to some good tapes, too.
