Hell certainly exists here on earth. If you grew up in the concentration camp of a dysfunctional family, have a bad marriage, or go to a church full of bigotted, geriatric game players, why, you're in hell!
Paradise, perhaps, is where people make each other laugh and enjoy each other's dependable hospitality.
The hell and paradise of the "afterlife" are irrelevant, don't waste any of your time afraid of one or smug about getting to the other.

I think Abraham's Bosom (paradise) was emptied out when Jesus rose from the dead.
There was a place across the wide space of suffering. This could be Hell. But at the time of the Great White Throne Judgment, death and Hell are cast into the lake of fire.

absolutely. Hell and heaven is a perception of how we see and interact with the world. Hell is a metaphor of not knowing oneself of being lost in the darkness, in essence losing your soul. Heaven is a place that we only live in seconds. Most of us find content with the things we do and experience. Heaven is the place that supercedes the melanchony of every day life. You feel it when you fall in love. Everything seems different. You feel it when you acihieve a triumpth in your life or break an emotional pattern that binds you to the indifference of yourself. Heaven in all defintion is the freedom to explore another perception and allow it to cleanse you from the jaded tendecies we all cary. Hell is carry the jaded tendecies and set those patterns into motion that only achieves more dissapointment and failure. You ever heard the comment you reap what you sow. Same thing. I think as human beings this world allows us to experience the inbetween of heaven and hell.

Only if you are a buddhist. Personally I believe Heaven and Hell are very real places.
People can call their feelings anything they want (Happiness=Heaven, Sadness=Hell), but they are just their feelings.

I'm glad you asked that. People think Heaven and hell are some
far away place, that they don't realize until they "die". But
they exist in the HERE AND NOW!
