Us guys are very shallow. Early on guys are blinded by looks, we think just because a girl is very cute, she is also very cool. After a month or so of dating looks start mattering alot less and a guy starts focusing more on the person.
I was dating this girl who had a fat obnoxious best friend that I really hated. One day I realized they were the same personality just in different packages. I was amazed how long it had taken me to realize that.

If the guy is mature, then yes, looks don't mean anything, it's the person that counts. After all, you don't throw away the present and keep the wrapping paper. The outside is just that, the gift wrap for the soul in side, and sometimes, no matter how pretty the paper, the inside could be empty.

I asked a similar question not to long ago. For most shallow and materialistic men unfortunately this is true all they care about is looks. But there are a few and rarely spotted heard of males out there that care about the personality of a woman.

Looks mean less and less to guys as we get older. Then, around 45, we start chasing young stuff and looks mean more and more again. Go figure.

Sorry Looks are very important however being with a lovely person counts aswell. I need a nice caring person that looks like my girlfriend. If only she wasnt soooo pretty.

Looks definatly matter thats what first attracts you to someone you wouldnt go up to a person you weren't attracted to and hope they have the other qualities you look for.

looks do matter but my wife isnt the most atractive woman i have ever been with but she is the most beutiful to me so love is blind in a way lol
