we are buying a new Plasma TV, and we have even placed the order online. it will be coming in 4 weeks. what can i do with my old Tv.

Not much use for old TV's and they are now hard to dispose of.

donate it to a school for students learning electronics or take it to a repair shop they may use the parts if it still works put it in a smaller room in the house so if someone wants to watch some thing different

You could put it on eBay, sell it in a garage sale, put it in another room in your house, or (if it's really crappy) Bring it out at a party and let everyone take turns smashing it with a baseball bat. :D

Donate it to a shelter, either a domestic abuse one, or homeless. They sure could use them and it is tax deductable.
