as a result of depression i had experienced slowness of thinking and working, very poor concentration , very poor memory although used to be intelligent , i took seroxat for 3 monthes but it made things worse, how can i change, i no more feel depresses but poor mental power is ruining my life

You probably still have depression due to the symptoms you describe. This has nothing to do with your intelligence but the intelligent thing to do is go and see your doctor.
You should discuss all your symptoms and it is likely the drug chosen did not suit you. Everyone is different and your doctor may need to reassess you. If he doesn't know what's going on he cannot help you. This is a disorder that can be managed and is not your fault. Go see your doctor

Seroxat is a brand name of Paroxetine. Paroxetine is primarily used to treat the symptoms of depression, obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD), post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), panic disorder, generalized anxiety disorder (GAD), social phobia/social anxiety disorder, and premenstrual dysphoric disorder (PMDD). Paroxetine can also be used in the treatment of premature ejaculation, chronic headache, and bipolar disorder. Paroxetine has been found to significantly reduce the symptoms of diabetic neuropathy. There is also evidence that paroxetine may be effective in the treatment of compulsive gambling and hot flashes.
You need a thorough medical examination before deciding on a treatment regimn. You have to exclude the possibilities of problems like vascular dementia, nutritional deficiencies, thyroid problems etc... Consult a physician and do the necessary lab examinations.
Depression may be the cause of your symptoms. You can try another drugs from different classes. Paroxetine belongs to a class of SSRIs. Bupropion XL or Mirtazapine are very effective in depression and they have different mechanisms of action.
Things may go worse when bipolar people take antidepressants. They need to stabilize their mood first.

As dreadful as it might sound, move your body. Start doing exercise outside of the home, even if it is walking at a moderate pace. Do that every day, whether you feel like it or not, for half an hour or more. Your mind will work better when your body moves more.

This may seem rather odd but my advice to you is to try to solve a few sudoku puzzles each day. They 'wake up' and focus your brain.
