Concerning this the most quoted part of the bible is Sodom and Gomorrah.
Firstly, The word 'yadha' appear in the bible 943 times and this word is only used 10 times to mean sex and on all of those occasions it's concerning homosexuals. The word 'shakabh' is the hebrew word for homosexual sex but this was never mentioned in Sodom and Gomorrah.
When Sodom burnt down Lot goes to the top of a mountain, gets drunk and has sex with his two daughters. God did not punish him for this.
So if Sodom and Gomorrah is about homosexuality (which is debatable) then for those who believe that the bible tells you that homosexuality is wrong do you believe it is okay in the eyes of the lord to do what Lot did?

For the record I am straight but even if I wasn't does the bible mention anything about women homosexuals?
Granted Sodom and Gomorrah were destroyed for wickedness and corruption too, how often is this mentioned when it's being used to tell homosexuals that they are doing wrong?
I have nothing to be ashamed of, if I'm guilty of anything it's letting people live how they want to and not judging them for their lifestyles because someone told me I should. Do you have a personal problem with homosexuals or is it based entirely on the fact that your religion says it's wrong?
I wasn't trying to provoke reactions either I sincerely wanted to know how people who are religous interpret this. How could I possibly have a well formed opinion if I'd not heard from people with an opposing view. If you wanted to change my mind about this it would be better to give me the facts rather than call me a satan worshipper.

Both incest and homosexuality are wrong in God's eyes. You say that God did not punish Lot, however I beg to differ. Lot did sin, but I blame the daughters for concocting the deception and getting their father so drunk he did not know what he was doing. The sons that were born of Lot's daughters were Moab and Ben-Ammi. These were the start of the Moabites and the Ammorites, both of which were idol worshiping, evil societies. It is never stated in the Bible what happened to Lot, but his descendants were cut off from God.
Also, homosexuallity was defined as an abomination (one of the only sins called such) and incest was tolerated until Abraham's time (most likely because the human DNA had not been as corrupted as it is now).

All of those occasions speak AGAINST homosexual sex!. If you read the Bible with understanding, Lot's daughters got him drunk on the wine and had sex with him while he was passed out! And this would put the blame on the daughters, Not on Lot. Take a look at the human anatomy of males and females. If you can't figure out Gods plan for them, You are simply stupid!! No need to go any further. By the way Sodom and Gomorrah were destroyed for wickedness and corruption, Not just homo's. So what makes you think the unnatural act of homosexual sex is right? and what are you hiding behind?. Shame?

i don't have the bible in front of me yet i'm particularly specific that the in case you study the full Exodus and areas of Mathew or John, i'm uncertain. i'm no longer attempting to quote the bible in order that which you comprehend. I do remember listening to that confident it does point out that gays ought to or need to be be killed, blood upon them or in spite of, some thing consisting of that, yet doing so is a lots worse sin then the act it rather is self. I remember the history channel touched upon this subject remember interior the particular intercourse and the Bible. Sorry i don't have the best answer in spite of the fact that it is going alongside those lines. So rather everyone needs to take a seat down back and enable god style it out. I actual have an concept based on the words decide no longer les ye be Judged. i could be incorrect yet possibly we're not meant to get mad on God's behalf. this is all my opinion with the aid of fact i don't have the components indexed, i ought to be incorrect approximately each little thing.

Lot didn't do it on his own, the daughters did it. Look at what happened to the offspring. Later when God gave the law to Moses, homosexuality was written as being wrong as well as incest. This was a different dispensation.

It is not hiding but standing firmly upon and confronting inequity head on while the filth of the earth flaunt their debauchery.

I believe that homosexuality is just fine. We have a bunch of homosexuals in my religion. It is fine with us. I don't agree with what Lot did though. I think that is sick but I know there was a lot of that kind of stuff back then.

Because they are homophobic. If the Bible was not available they would find another reason to hate gays. You have to understand that some people will never change.
