Sounds like he pays attention when he doesn't have to go out of his way to do so. If it requires him to have to make an extra effort, he can't do it. No, don't call him. You shouldn't have to beg for his time. He doesn't see to be ready for a relationship.

I think that you should talk to him and ask him if there is anything wrong with your relationship. If he doesn't reply or ignores you, then you've got a problem, but if he answers you at all that may be a good sign (depending on the answer) telling you whether or not he still likes you at all. :)

It sounds like you like him alot more than he likes you. No, you shouldn't call him. I think you should ask yourself whether he is really into you or maybe he is using you. Relationships are a two-way street - give and take. Based on what you said, he's doing alot more taking than giving.
