Muslims believe in the ONE HOLY SPIRIT of the ALMIGHTY LORD!! We do not have the trinitarian godhead concept of the Christians. Muslims are more similar in this regard to the Jewish folks than to the Christians.

We believe that the HOLY SPIRIT is all encompassing. It is not divided into a Holy Spirit separate from God the Father or God the Son, as understood by the Christians.

We belief the moment you divide, you limit. When you limit, you can point towards it. When you can point towards it, then it is engulfed in time and space, thus it is not God. It is a simple three step process.

Just as it is hard to say that about the force of gravity and the surface of the earth at sea level. It is all engulfing. Gravity as a concept comes closest to the EVER PRESENT, OMNISCIENT GOD if a physical phenomenon can be used to show the non-physical.

In fact any example is totally flawed to explain an entity so unlike anything that we know.

The holy spirit is mentioned in Qur'an which comes to Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) as a messenger of God. The holy spirit is angel Gabriel according to Qur'an. Holy spirit in Arabic is Ruh Al Qudus.

16:102 Say, the holy spirit has brought the revelation from thy Lord in Truth, in order to strengthen those who believe, and as a Guide and Glad Tidings to Muslims.

Holy spirit was sent to all the previous Prophets as well including Moses (PBIH) Jesus (PBUH).

To all those Muslims who have answered this question that they don't believe in Ruh Al Qudus are denying faith because of their ignorance. We as a Muslims have to believe in all angels, Prophets, books unseen which is mandatory part of faith. Do not answer the question if you don't have the information.

Sorry, but I must interject.
There is no "Equivalent" For God the Father, God the Son, or God the Holy Spirit anywhere.

Muslims does not believe in Holy Spirit. Muslims pray directly to the God. The same God the Christians and Jews are praying. Muslims believe in Jesus but not as Son of God. Jesus is a Messenger of God since it is very illogical for a God to have son. There is only one God and God does not have wive or sons.
