Great Man,

It amazes me, that people take the plethora of man made religions for granted, as if they were normal. There is indeed, only One God, who is the Creator of all. Religion, is the pathetic attempts of men, to capitalize on God's love of mankind. Jesus came to this world, to bring us a message, both simple and elegant: "The Kingdom of God is within you". It was never God's will, that we should divide ourselves up into sectarian camps, and proceed to kill each other over our theological differences. That is the work of men, and of the devil. The true faith, of spiritual rebirth, is the path that all of God's messengers have come to bring us to. The Spirit of God, unifies men in the bonds of brotherly love, and dispells the clouds of ignorance, which so often attend the religions of men. One day, all of those who have invited God's Spirit into their lives, and received the Divine Nature, which is God's gift to us, will come together as one family, under the banner of their Father and God. The silly religions of men, along with the suffering they bring, will not even be remembered.

Maybe because mankind wants to make gods in man's image rather than realizing that we are made in God's image. The many religions are from mankind attempting to understand who God is, yet ignoring Him when He tells them.

I believe that God has told us who He is through the Bible which is self consistent and flawless.

1. Tomas de Torquemada (pictured here) - Born in Spain in 1420, his name is synonymous with the Christian Inquisition's horror, religious bigotry, and cruel fanaticism. He was a fan of various forms of torture including foot roasting, use of the garrucha, and suffocation. He was made Grand Inquisitor by Pope Sixtus IV. Popes and kings alike praised his tireless efforts. The number of burnings at the stake during Torquemada's tenure has been estimated at about 2,000. Torquemada's hatred of Jews influenced Ferdinand and Isabella to expel all Jews who had not embraced Christianity.
