Firstly, before creation there wasn't just God, there was and is the holy trinity, Father, Son & Holy Ghost. The reason for the creation was and is love.......after the fall and the failing of the first Jesus (Adam, which means red earth) out of love for us God sent His only Son, Jesus and hopefully you should know the rest. There has always been love and there will continue to be love right into eternity.

Have you ever felt loved over a situation that did not directly involve another person? Say, you won the lottery. Do you think those running the lottery loved you so they pulled your numbers? Love is an overwhelmingly great feeling. Sometimes you get this feeling even when others are not involved. Thus, I agree with prior posts. God is love and is eternal even before our creation.

There were the Father, Son and Holy Spirit, and angels before Creation. God loves/ had loved all He created (including the angels and Satan).

God is often referred to in the plural at the beginning of creation. He had other beings with Him (perhaps angels of the Lord). He loved those with Him and those He created.

God is pure love. No other source needed, the root of Love, the purest source, the fountain of Love, springs from Him. He created just as we do, us to Love. Not to sound to hippie, but Its pretty much the basic meaning/root for living.

1Pe 1:18 Forasmuch as ye know that ye were not redeemed with corruptible things, as silver and gold, from your vain conversation received by tradition from your fathers;
1Pe 1:19 But with the precious blood of Christ, as of a lamb without blemish and without spot:
1Pe 1:20 Who verily was foreordained before the foundation of the world, but was manifest in these last times for you,
1Pe 1:21 Who by him do believe in God, that raised him up from the dead, and gave him glory; that your faith and hope might be in God.
1Pe 1:22 Seeing ye have purified your soul
