It is very normal for a 50 year old man to have carnal desires. I have worked for Older Peoples Services in Sussex for a few years, and know of men much older than yourself that have active sex lives and feel no shame for doing so.

What is a concern for me though, is your feeling of ungodliness. Why is it ungodly to accept your sexuality? Why not celebrate and enjoy all of your bodily functions while you still can?

Life is too short for shame young man. Get out there and live a little!

Sex was created as part of the human side of our selves. It was created by God to be a joyful experience. It is best as part of a marriage but should never be confused with love, because it is a part of love and not the other way around. As for the age you have to be not to want it anyomre. Your body will tell you that. If you still have the desire then obviously you do. There is nothing sinful in having a desire for sex. It only becomes sin when we allow the sex to become so dominant in our thinking that we live for it instead of it being a part of our lives.

My advice to your would be, stop worrying. Everything is perfectly natural. I am a single christian in his early forties, and I still have the same desires.
God is a God of needs, not the rules that most people think. Do you love God? Then simply believe his truth and enjoy your life. If you have these desires then don't repress them, express them as part of a loving relationship with a loving woman and then you will not be sinning. And if you don't have a loving woman to share them with, ask God and beleive and he will provide.
God loves you. He knows your frailties and strngths. He loves you in spite of your frailties and strengths.

Dear self conscious of sin, I found somebody who share with me his own experience. So am I in my fifties, and I feel as strong as teenager. I came to a conclusion that man never looses his interest of having sex until the day he dies. So, unless you divert the power of sex energy into power of prayer and relationship with Christ the Lord, who was in full control of his sexual urge; He was a perfect Man and he went through our experience like any other man. But he never sinned or desired a woman, because he had his sexual energy discharged through Godly behavior. I understand exactly how you feel. Some times I control my drive so well and I spend so much time reading the Bible or doing Godly things, whether attending a religious conference or going to attend a church that I am not a member off. After a while, the sexual urge returns back. I start praying to God to grant me the power to overcome my desires for sex. I never ever could stop that power of wanting a woman. Sometimes my imagination goes so strong to the point of creating the most beautiful woman in the Universe and start feeling her vibrations. I try to build a fire wall, but when i succeed, I fail when I go to sleep. The woman I create in my imagination visits my bed and my frustration releases while I am totally sleep. When I awake, I start praying to God to forgive me for having sinned, although it was done while I am completely unconscious and while asleep. Abraham was over 135 years old when he married the third wife Qatourah. He died at the age of 175. The answer to your question is that there is no age limit for man not to want sex any more.

Much older than me, and I'm 59.
I have friends in their 70s who still participate regularly. Sex is a godly thing. Don't feel ungodly about it.

Your joking right? You should be pleased there are still signs of life in that decrepit hulk. Unless these desires involve little girls, little boys or animals fullfill them.
If you want to be "clean" have yourself castrated. That will address those pesky carnal desires.
Sheesh.

There are men in their 80s and 90s that are still shaming themselves. The trouble is, these guys have desires but can't do anything about it, so they go nuts and chase high schoolers and ogle young mothers.

I'm not religious but it seems you are, in which case you might find this encouraging (from wikipedia):

"Methuselah is mentioned in Genesis as the son of Enoch and the father of Lamech (father of Noah), whom he fathered at the age of 187."

'Hope you feel less ungodly now.
