You seem to have a lot of questions about diapers. How do you check for wet diapers?

Feel, or look.

I'm sorry, danskecat, do fetishes bother you? You don't have anything you like better than something else, to the point that you won't use anything else but? Guess what, that's a fetish, and I'm sure you have one or two, maybe we should report you, what do you think?

Diaper fetish or not, to answer the question. If it is a disposable diaper there are a number of ways to tell. Most disposables have some type of visible wetness indicator to be able to tell if they are wet or not.

If they don't, then all of the previous suggestions work well to be able to tell if it is wet.

If it is a cloth diaper, then the only way to really tell it to actually feel the wetness of the diaper with your fingers. That is usually done by sticking your fingers inside the waist or leg band of the diaper cover and feel the diaper for wetness.

I'll check yours for you if you would like, just in case you forgot that you wet them.

Good luck.

for a baby i would stick my finger in and feel it it's too moist. You can look at the diaper by the way it starts dropping. You can tell the difference. One thing do not let the diaper get to wet because you can cause your child to have a diaper rash and those are nasty. I remember my daughter started getting them when she started daycare.

By the looks of it it's cloth diapers and rubber pants, so here's my technique that I use on my kids, and on kids I babysit. Stand baby between my open legs, pull elastic waistband of rubber pants out at the front and check diapers for wetness, then the back to check for a dirty. If baby is laying down, I stick my finger under one of the elasticized leg openings, or pull back the rubber pants at the very front.

I press the suspected wet diaper with my finger. If a diaper is wet, the absobent matieral swells and feels different than a dry one.

slightly squeeze the material right below the groin, if it feels like jelly, and is squishy, it is wet and needs to be changed.

you can tell when its wet as it becomes heavy, baggy and baby would be uncomfortable if it hadn't been changed for a while.
