You can get a reward in the way people look at you or can't find the words to thank you. I honestly prefer this kind of personnal reward than being given money. But the greatest reward remain the one which will be given by God. I can't wait for that!

I myself would not routinely accept gratuity or reward from an individual for doing something that seemed the correct thing to do. However, I would not hesitate to accept a reward from an institution or organization, like I don't know, say crime stoppers or something like that. It would depend on the situation and how adamantly the person who wanted to give the reward was. I'm not gonna save someones life and then piss them off by declining a heartfelt gratuity, be it money, gift or just a real thank you and a smile.

Hi seeker. You ask really interesting questions. I am a surfer. One time we were riding the big waves on the north shore when another girl got hit by her board. I knew she would be unconscious so I I let my own board go and went in the water after her. It was pure instinct and the love of another member of my tribe. I would never accept money for that. She wouldn't be who she is if she thought she had to offer it. Blood is thicker than ocean water.

Yes. Not to accept it risks embarrassing the donor and would doubtless appear churlish on the part of the intended recipient.

I graciously decline. Being honest and caring for others is enough of its own reward

There is nothing wrong with rewards. Even God rewards those who obey Him.
