Hospitality is generally learned. You practice hospitality by seeing others be hospitable. You already know the effect of it, for you have been treated nicely within your life at one point or another and it has made you feel good.

In my opinion, it needs to be taught more and more for I see a rather rude world developing. (big cities especially) It all starts at home. A disciplined & loving home will always reep hospitality in its children, which they then can pass on. Remember : what you put out there ultimately comes back to you! : )

A genuine desire to make others feel welcomed and or important while they are in your company or are spending time in your home or place of business. Most people tend to respond to hospitable gestures with more kindness and or generosity, even if they are not really pleased to be in the specific company of the person who is offering the fore-mentioned hospitality. In general, offering hospitality to friends or even total strangers will generate more positive responses than being flippant, rude, or just oblivious to the presence of others.
