I'm afraid it could be serious. I do remember a baby that drank baby oil not surviving (but I believe he actually inhaled it and they couldn't clean it from his lungs).
The phone number for poison control is 800-222-1212. Please call them immediately.
Just as a side note, I have two children and I have never used baby oil. I use only baby powder that's made from corn starch (it is heavier and the child can't inhale as many of the little tiny particles that can make them ill if they get hold of a bottle of it). If you use it to keep his skin soft, just switch over to baby lotion. There's really no need to use baby oil.
As a mom, I've made some mistakes too - we're not perfect. But please don't leave your child alone in another room if he's still young enough to get into this kind of trouble. My oldest is now 4 and it wasn't until she was probably 3 1/2 that I let her be in another room without my supervision. Put him in the high chair, playpen or baby gate him in the kitchen with you. It's not worth the risk. Good luck.
PS - here's the info about baby oil and a child aspirating it: It doesn't sound like your child breathed it into his lungs, but you need to be very vigilant and definitely call poison control and maybe even take him to the E.R.
Who would ever think that a product made for babies could also kill them? Unfortunately, baby oil—a staple of the nursery—contains hydrocarbons that can be deadly. If children aspirate baby oil, their lungs become coated with the oil. This blocks oxygen and prevents proper respiration, ultimately leading to chemical pneumonia.
To keep little hands from opening baby oil bottles, store baby oil where your child can't reach it. For further safety, childproof caps on baby oil bottles will be mandatory starting in October 2002; Target stores currently carry childproof caps on their baby oil.
Be aware that other household items, like some sunscreens and automotive products, may also contain liquid hydrocarbons. Always check package ingredients and keep toxins away from children.

Not too scare you, but you need should call a doctor immediately or the Poison Control Center. It depends on how much he drank and remember a little amount to us could be a big amount for him since he's little. Some kids have gotten sick and/or died from drinking baby oil.

Call the poison control center, don't ask us. Mineral oil isn't harmful, the perfume may be, but he will get very sick from it. Why was it down where he could reach it? All that stuff needs to be up out of his reach in locked cabinets. It's called being a responsible parent.

It's probably the purest thing that has been in her mouth in a long time. Baby oil will not hurt her other than maybe having the runs. It is safer than Food Grade Mineral Oils (used on butcher block cutting board in butcher shops).
