I'm reading a book that uses the term and from the context it may mean something derogatory, but I am curious because I am conducting a book discussion.

I think it may mean pecker. Beke means to peck... I am not familiar enough with the grammar to know if the extra ke at the end is the same as -er in English but that is the best that I can come up with.
