The only way it makes sense is if the Virgin Mary actually did appear to St. Bernadette in Lourdes.

Jesus came directly from God, not thru sexual conception, so Jesus had 'original knowledge' of sin(the knowledge of 'good' and 'evil'), he did not 'have original sin'. He didn't sin and He didn't have to sin in order to 'know' how dastardly Sin feels like.

Jesus 'knew' at exactly where to 'draw the line' with every context He was in with a kind of authority that few can match. He 'knew' sin, because He 'knows' His Father thru and thru (He knew what God abhors).

Jesus was God in a human suit. He had absolutely no sin. He was exactly what God the Father would look like if He appeared in human form. The Bible says he was "the express image of the father", which is why the concept of God's son. Don't sons look like their fathers? Don't they come from their father's seed? The Holy Spirit overshadowed Mary and caused His Lifeforce to join with Mary's egg. There is a scientific process which describes births in nature with just an egg cell. This was a spiritual event, with spiritual results that will last forever.

I don't think it has anything to do with Mary appearing to Bernadette in Lourdes.

No the stupid catholic idea of original sin is what is wrong.

The first thing that someone should be considering is whether the idea of sin is actually real.

If God is supposed to be perfect how could She have made anything or anyone that wasn't perfect.
Think about it. The idea of sin assumes certain things about God that seem highly unlikely.

First it assumes a God who is too incompetent to organize a simple educational field excursion and figure out a way to get all of the students home safely.

How likely is this that God would not be smart enough to come up with a plan for our salvation that is going to work?

It also assumes that God must have created us imperfect if we are sinners.

One might assume that God would be able to create someone perfect each and every time if he chose to. Assuming God is capable of this, then it follows logically that we must be perfect creations if we are actually creations of this perfect God.

Unless of course you are saying that God chose to create us imperfect.

If God created us imperfect then anything that may go wrong is Gods fault, not ours. This seems a bit illogical at best so I think that we need to assume that What God creates would have to be perfect.

If this is the case and Gods creations are perfect, then nothing that we can do could change what God created perfect and make it imperfect unless we think that we are more powerful than God is.

How likely is it that we the creation could be more powerful than the creator. I personally find this idea somewhat amusing, and a bit absurd.

Religion tells us that God is perfect. If this is true then it could hardly be logically for Gods creations to be considered to be anything less than perfect.

If this is the case then Nothing that we can ever do could possibly change this perfection that God willed, unless we were so powerful that our choices could override and change the will of God.

How likely is that????

Think about it.

The idea of sin is simple nonsense; a lie made up about God by religion.

Oh that's the wonder of Christ. He was 100% man, and 100% God at the same time. There's no way we'll understand until we can talk to Him in heaven. We just trust and believe. Mary was not sinless, (she specifically mentions the need for a savior in the Bible) but Jesus was. His bloodline wasn't touched by a human father, and that's where the sin is passed down, through the father's bloodline.

Jesus Christ is God`s Son in human form.Virgin Mary conceived Him by the strength of Holy Spirit. That is IMMACULATE CONCEPTION. Jesus therefore had NO ORIGINAL SIN.

Christ was not fully human. He was God in human form. And as far as God not being able to create a perfect human, Adam and Eve were created as perfect; however, once Satan entered the picture, and Eve ate the fruit of the tree of knowledge of good and evil, that's where free will came in. We are imperfect by our own free will as we have to choose whether or not to sin. Jesus, in human form, also had free will as was showed by satan tempting him on the mountain. He chose not to fall to the temptation satan put before Him. A newborn is unable to choose between good and evil and therefore is perfect in God's eyes. There is no 'original sin', we choose to sin or not - that's free will.

Jesus was 100% human and 100% God, so since he was God he had no original sin. I also highly doubt Bernadette saw Mary.

Jesus was the only human who was without sin. That is why God used Him as the ultimate sacrificial Lamb of God. To cover the sins of people, they had to use the most perfect lamb that was without blemish in any way. Jesus was that Lamb of God for us. He was completely and totally sin free. I stay away from the myths of the Catholic church. They worship statues which goes agains God's laws.

It's a mystery, a miracle they tell me. You will get no real answer other than that.
