You are dealing with demonic spirits of divination when you play with tarot cards, Ouija boards and the like. I would look into a book called Pigs in the Parlor by Frank Hammond. I believe this touches on the subject of tarot cards. At any rate, simply having them gives demons legality over you. Just so you know, I have been a Christian for many, many years, and quite some time ago I bought some tarot cards "just for fun." So I can relate to your situation. You might be doing it just for fun, but the Devil takes it quite seriously and will use any excuse he can find to get a toe hold.

I had some Tarot cards when I was a very young Christian. I learnt later the hard way, and decided to burn them. I would advise you to do the same. If a Christian has the Holy Spirit like a possession, then Tarot cards can open a door to evil spirits to possession as well. The two are incompatible. Would you be stupid enough to invite someone like Osama into your church with a loaded machine gun? So why do it with the cards then? They are invitation cards to a lot of evil. If you believe in God, then I presume Angels and Demons follow. Do you really want to find out what a real Demon can do??? Use the invitation card. It is your funeral.

You may think that Tarot is just a bit of fun, but as a Christian, you should not be involved with such practices. You are being deceived by Satan into thinking it is just fun when actually he is drawing you away from a right relationship with God. As a Christian, I encourage you to give up Tarot cards. There are other ways to have fun without doing something God commands you not to do. Also, you might consider the fact that you could be a stumbling block to other Christians. Someone not grounded in the Word of God might see you playing with your Tarot cards and be led astray by the devil. They could decide that Christians are a bunch of hypocrites because they preach one thing and then do another. They could get involved in such practices themselves and start believing in what they were doing and fall into witchcraft. I strongly urge you to pray about this issue and seek the advice of a mature Christian in your church or your pastor.

You feel guilty because Christianity teaches that any kind of divination is evil. However, you want to learn about Tarot because you are curious and that is part of being human. There is nothing evil about Tarot, they have no power because they are just tools. The real power is in the user.
Good luck with it.

I don't know, Christianity is pretty much anti-anything and everything. God invented Tarot cards otherwise it would have no power, now would they?
You might want to check out Esoteric Catholic Paganism, they mix Paganism with Christianity (it's a bit of a oxymoron, but it still has some interesting philosophies.

whoa! You can't be serious! You have no idea how much god hates anything to do with the occult. This is not 'fun' it's serious dabbling in evil influences. To do tarot is a serious sin, please ask God to show you that this is the case, and repent, burn the cards and turn away from it. I would also remind you that you are sinning big time if you invite others to sin in the same way.

some people say that these things are from the devil.according to the book of Enoch when the 200 angels decided to fall to earth they saw the women of man and wanted them, thus the fall.they taught them many secrets and supposedly astrology was one of these secrets.the use of makeup, music. the making of weapons etc...then God told them that they weren't suppose to teach man these secrets and knowing this would happen God said He didn't reveal all the knowledge to them so they couldn't pass all of heavens secrets. What I got from this book was that anything that is used for evil is wrong. The teachings that were taught man became twisted and man began to use these gifts in evil ways.I think if you always use this tool as help you will Be fine .If you start to get greedy and start to feel the power of knowing you will only find problems. You should study the origin of the tarot and make your own choice.

Tarot cards are merely another tool to help you focus. They just help you arrange your thoughts better so you can see what might go on in the future if things don't change, they just help you see the odds, they don't really show you the future. Nothing wrong with that.

Poor deluded Girl, don't you know the only way to read the future is with sheep poop?
Seriously, why are you bothering with with this nonsense? The bible and tarot are both baloney. Life on earth evolved. There is no god or spirit world. There is just life and death.
Ask your self this: "If tarot cards worked why wouldn't everybody be using them to win the lottery or predict the stock market?" I will tell you why, they don't work! And oh, you can't cheat on somebody who doesn't exist.

It is fun sometimes to know how are things in future going to be, but usually only if future is good. Imagine how would you feel if you would realise that something bad is waiting for you just around the corner: serious operation, car accident, loss of loved one...
Those are things that happens in life, and one needs serious emotional strength to deal with them, what one doesn't need is worrying about them before anything happens.
God sometimes seem like spoilsport for hiding nice things from us, but He is also guarding us from unnecessary trouble. Remember that every day has enough trouble on it's own and God gives us enough strength for each day, we are not equipped for troubles that lay ahead of us.
