Which religion are you or your husband? Then that's the school you attend. Actually Lutheranism and Catholicism come from the same roots with a few differences.
I think you should decide with your children and your husband which faith you want your children educated in .

Look at the quality of the school. The Evangelical Lutheran Church is right now working on formal union with the Catholic Church anyway. ELCA may cease existing as a Protestant community some time in the near future and instead exist as a Catholic community. There just isn't that big a difference between the two groups anyway. If it is religion you are interested in, they are as close as two groups can get and not be the same group.
So my recommendation is to look at how well your child fits with the school.

My grandmother took me to Churches with her. went to a different denomination each week(except Muslim,Judaism)which were only to be found in the larger cities. This method of biblical teachings was effective in that I received knowledge from each and was able to distinguish what their persuasion is their mannerisms and their speech. Are you the catholic and the wife Lutheran and can't decide? then go protestant.

It depends - are you Catholic or Lutheran?
In either school your children will be indoctrinated into the religion that runs it....

Are these your only two choices?
Both of these places will try to convince your kids that God is judgmental and would punish them. Is this really what you want?
Remember that whom ever you let form the idea of God that your kids have is very important. They will be stuck with it for a long time.
We decided to explain all of the various world religions to our youngest son. We told him to think about it and make up his own mind. I told him that he could make the decision himself when He was old enough to make an informed decision of his own.
I told me that Buddhist theology made the most sense of any to him. He has emulated the nonjudgmental peace loving Buddhist ways in his dealings with others his entire life. He is a joy to be around.
Try it you may be surprised at the results.

well I would say it depends on religion you or your partner are-I went to catholic university and my boyfriend went to catholic school (although he hasnt been babtised).I would say that it also depends on what you are expecting for your children education wise-like catholic school as far as I know will always represent very high level and teach morality but it can also be intimidating.
I can't really discuss on lutherenian one

If you are a catholic, you don't have to ask that question. Same thing, if you are lutheran, you don't have to ask that question. if you are still in a dilemma, then send your child to a 'madrasa', where the imams and mutawas will brainwash him.

Unless the school system is very bad, I would send them to public school.
