You need a flat level surface to rollerblade on, like a flat road. You can pretty much cycle on any surface.
Rollerblading is fun, but I think cycling is more practical.

I love cycling, both Mountain and Road. Did rollerskating too and it was fun. Only rollerbladed once and forgot that the brakes are in the back and fell flat on my face at the beach. Embarassing but funny. Never tried rollerblades again.

That question is like 'which are prettier, blondes or redheads'.
I think that it depends a lot on what you like. I like mountain bikes, I love the thrill of the ride, but also knowing different places, being with nature, away from the city life. I don't think you could do that with rollerblading.
But I would think that rollerblading can be fun, I just haven't tried it.

Cycling has freeride, downhill, cross country, dual slalom and dirt-jumping in the world of mountain biking----quite a vast area for everything from fitness to hammering the rock gardens! In rollerblading? Well, go down Venice beach and spot a thonged-hottie rolling down the catwalk----but some dirt-road? Now y'know whats more FUN.......

Try rollerblading down a mountain or through the countryside It may be fun but a bike is better and if you like the trick stuff then a good BMX or trials bike are hard to beat. I do all of them and they are loads of fun for me

in case you do no longer placed on pads and your helmet, you danger having a deadly accident or injuring your self. once you're fairly that bored, attempt some thing new and leave it for a at the same time as. Ice skating is comparable and might suit you better.

Cycling... you can go farther and create your own wind so you don't always feel so sweaty. Plus I get a lot more awkward on skates than wheels...
