Success lies only in hard work and nothing else.Looks fade over time but the fragrance of success through hard work transcends and reaches all corners. The afterglow persists even after death.

I think it is a mixture of both. You won't be very successful wearing old dirty clothes to a job interview no matter how positive your outlook. With that said, I don't believe the two are in anyway equally important to success. The way you look will have an impact on how other people see you and that is certainly part of being successful, but believing in yourself is much more influential in following through with your dreams and aspirations. And as important as having a positive outlook is, it is surely not the only key to success. You have to have actions to support the thoughts or it is meaningless. Zig Zigler (a very successful motivational speaker) says that without the positive outlook you will not accomplish anything of importance, and I tend to agree. If you feel that you are going to fail at something, chances are those thoughts will become a self fulfilling prophecy, but just thinking that you will achieve something is not going to make it happen. That is just the first step, the positive attitude. It needs to be followed up with behavior that reinforces that positive attitude.

Success relies heavily on positive attitude. Looks rely on the Superficial and what's outside.
Outlook is how you perceive things. They said that Thomas Edison created 1,000 "failed" experiments with the light bulb.
Edison said that he didn't fail. He just found 1,000 ways on how not to make a light bulb.
Rather than looking at it as failure, he chose to see it as a learning experience.
