sounds about the right age to start feeling the phantom feelings of "love." be very careful. this will be the hardest and most painful love you will ever feel. it will pave the way for when you fall in love for real. hope it all turns well. just don't do anything dumb like lose your virginity to him.

Falling in love and being in love are two different things. You have the perception of falling in love, and if you are 14, that is what it may be. We can tell you that you won't know love until you grow up... Well, that is not going to give you an answer. A reprimand is not what you're looking for. However, if this is your first time, it may be translated as such because the feelings that you have are genuine. It affects your body, heart and soul, and no one can deny those feelings. This being said, move cautiously because you may realize that you may just be "falling into someone" vs. "falling into love". The falling is always easier than the staying.

Right and wrong don't come into emotional feeling - whatever you feel is right for you because you are feeling it. It's what you do about it that will have the consequences for you. I don't know if this is a hypothetical question or if you are the 14yr old in question.
Either way, you don't need anyone to tell you about the problems associated with under age sexual activity which would be the natural lead on to being in love with someone.
Being in love can make you extremely vulnerable to being used, at any age, but at 14 yrs, the person would not have the years of other life experiences to help balance them out and make them stronger against any problems that arise. So, love is beautiful, but life will make that love complicated, which is where the problems begin, so tread carefully if this is your situation.

Yes, I think it's possible to fall in love at 14 but you shouldn't take it too fast (and don't have sex). It all depends on the person, like there are some 14yr. olds who may say they love someone one week and the next they've totally forgot about that person, and are dating somone new the next; then there might be one who has picked a guy with a great personality and has been friends with him for like 4 yrs. or something and they already know each other really well, and are now dating, and respect and love each other.

the teen-aged years represent the typical time frame in which someone becomes more inquisitive, attractive, and acceptable of the opposite sex, It's just plain natural to develop crushes. However, I would strongly discourage falling in love or getting serious with someone at that age. You're still a kid and still need to enjoy being so throughout the rest of your adolescence. Serious relationships are best suited for people ages 18 and over. Teenage romance mostly doesn't last long. I personally developed a serious love for a boy at 13 and ended up really hurt because he played with my feelings. He didn't care anything about me, not even in the beginning. He just used me for amusement. (I'm not talking about sex). All in a nutshell, I was just too naive to see it. My advice to you is to wait until you're out of high school.

there are many types of love so thats why anyone can fall in love and everyone feels something different when they do so yes you can but just remember nothing lasts forever and feelings do fade so dont do anything rash and regret it for the rest of your life. take your time because you are only 14 there should be no rush to fall in love but like they say you cant control what you feel.

It's not a question of right or wrong... in a general sense, it's never wrong to love someone. But you should make sure that it's not just infatuation. Infatuation comes and goes quickly, but love builds over time.
It's not impossible to fall in love at that age. I know people who developed puppy love at that age, became steady in high school, graduated, and got married and are still together almost 10 years later.

Sugar,
you can fall in love at fourteen...trust me. But never give your love away or give it too quickly! Love comes softly, so give it time, just to make sure your feelings are true. Sometimes...alot of times...love can meerly be a mask for lust...
