I have no problems with Polish people in general because I do not discriminate on race or religion. However I recently had a break in at my house from some Polish people and the Police women who took my statement said that there was a lot of trouble currently from the Polish population in this town. For a "politically correct" policewomen to say this suggests that this was more fact than fiction. However I'm sure that the majority of Polish people in the UK are decent hardworking people, unfortunately it only takes a few people to act badly to tarnish it for the rest.

Polish people are the same like any foreigners in any country, stupid people look at them and think that they are here to take their jobs and money. It is not true, there are lots of opportunities for so many people in the UK and if any British would compete with any Polish for jobs he/she would get it even if he is less good. The racist mentality always hate foreigners and try to stop them coming. Those lazy guys living on benefits and spending most of their times in pubs drinking and moaning about foreigners...Get a Life and go and work!!

I work with plenty of polish and they are lovely but they are taking jobs away from my husband (building trade) who has a wife and four young kids to support, and many other hard workers by pricing their work cheaper. Because they are not regulated like plumbers and electricians so sometimes they work isnt of a great quality because they havent had much experience. That is my issue, not with the polish personally but with the whole immigration thing in total.
It will not get better when they start raising families here and people are struggling to get places in schools for their kids etc.
I think people need to stop being so PC.

Newcomers are always scapegoats. From what I have seen they are pleasant and hard working. In 10 or 15 years time the ones who remain here will have a higher status in society then ignorant people will turn their attention to another minority group. When the Jews settled into the East End of London they were despised and critiscised, more so than the Polish, now they are at the top of every field in our society.

I personally have no problem with them, but i know people who do. I think it's because most people don't like the fact that these days, anyone can get into our country (i live in the UK). Because of all the terrorism, I think people don't like the thought of immigrants coming in. I can understand why. There also seems to be a lot of polish people working in the UK at the moment, and most of them can't speak English. So maybe that has something to do with it??

oh dear, ur polish ain't u?
if ur not polish then here's why people have problems in the UK.
If an employer hasn't got a massive choice of employees then
he has to increase pay and have better benefits and working conditions to tempt the people he wants to work for him (or her).
But when we have a massive influx of immigrants who come from a poor country and see the minimum wage as a great increase on wages in Poland then they will work hard to keep their job.
When this happens why would they want to employ British people
who will moan about pay and conditions.
If u yourself are not earning minimum wage then you can bet that
u will have no wage increase in the future.
You see its not them being polish that's the problem (the polish are great people and think like me and you) the problem is the number of them flooding the UK.They are pushing wages down
because there's more employment needed and employers have a greater choice. So British people now find less jobs available
and for less money.
Also property prices rise for houses for sale and rent because of the housing shortage making it hard for 1st time buyers.
Its not just the polish people, its all mass immigration.
I don't think people will start hating the polish like they do the Muslim immigrants but i still think they should limit immigration.

I don't really have any problems with them,i have Polish and Latvians working with me,but the one thing that does annoy me a little bit is they come over here to work because their own country don't pay enough, then when they go back they don't need to work for up to a year in their own country as the money they earned while here is enough to see them through the following months. But all us lot have to keep working our butts off to pay our bills,we cant take a year off and live off what we've earned. Also when they do come here and they find a low paying job they can claim benefits for themselves and their families back in their own country, and that really bugs me.

The only people I hate are the scum who are well and fit but stay at home breed like rats filling their houses with children and then go around screaming saying they are not getting enough benefits. They should go and work whether they are Englih polish Germans Greeks Zimbabweans Americans or what ever I also hate the muggers thugs and common criminals. You are hated because of what you do not what you are of course we have some people who are traditional racist who may hate people of different colour or origin. These racist must go and burn in Hell.

This prejudice against eastern Europeans is incredible. These people have been propping up the economy whilst mos of Europe has been struggling. They work hand, generally to a high standard and are generally well mannered. They will pay for your state pension, your NHS, your roads etc.
They provide you with a choice and have raised the bar in the building trade.
