If he likes you- and you like him, then go for it girl! Your friends will have to get around their hate and be happy for you or they are not really your true friends. Just try not to ignore your friends after you have gone out with the guy, try and make it an even amount of time spent with both, or you will lose some friendships. So I say definitely go for it if you like him back. I hope this helps!

Usually your friends have pretty good insite into people you may like. A friend of mine recently started with an abusive man, no amount of talking is making her see the light. I have decided to take a step back and let her learn her lesson the hard way. It seems to be the only way. So, if you do date him, make sure you keep some support lines open.

First off you are an individual, forget what your friends feel about him. The question here is how do you feel about him thats all that matters. Unless they have some knowledge that this guy is a serial killer or something that may endanger your personal safety than take their advise. If not its your move.

Do your friends have a reason they hate him? Is there something that they see and you don't. The old saying that love is blind can be true. While you may not love him you do like him and that might make you blind to what others see.
Either way good luck.

Why do your friends hate him? Do they have valid reason or are they just mindlessly following hearsay like a lot of teenagers?
Find out why it is that they hate him, first. Consider getting to know the guy to see if their preconceived notions hold any validity.

You'd might as well start right now not listening to your friends over your own intution. If you like the guy , then go out with him. Your friends could cause you to doubt yourself, whether it pertains to business, love or anything.

if you like him, then go out with him. Don't listen to your friends. I mean, if you truely believe this is the guy for you, then go for it. If you don't, then you'll spend months, years, wondering what you two could of had. I know, i'm speaking from experience. Life is short, fo for it before it's too late.

Do you like him? That's the question you never told us. Is there a good reason your friends dislike him? If his past history has shown him to be someone that can't be trusted, or is he just not in their circle of friends?

I would if you think he is nice. Do not get too involved with him until you know him well though. Could be that your friends know things about him that you do not. At the same time you be the one to find out if he is worth your time by taking time to get to know him.
