Go into your control panel under "remove programs." Or, see if Norton has an "uninstall" button. They probably do.

As I was having problems with my NORTON ANTI-VIRUS (WHICH SUCKS) I deleted it by also deleteing the Symantec Programs...(WHICH LIKE NORTON ANTI-VIRUS ALSO SUCK)...and substituting a better antivirus program. This a month after I sent Norton/Symantec an e-mail to their non-responsive tech support....I finally in despiration deleted the entire thing and asked for a partial refund...which they also ignored...someone should sue those stupid bastards....in a class action law suit...

the anti virus should be removed from your start up menu bar first before you decide to uninstall it because it will be still running in your memory, once done then go to add/remove programs in the control panel and should work.
hopefully
