I have always thought how I would feel if I were the child and do accordingly. Wet diapers are an invitation to worse things like rashes and infections, I would never think of it!

You change the baby when you wake up. No point in waking the baby up for a diaper change. Leaving your child in a wet diaper will only make them get a diaper rash.

The first thing I do is change his diaper. Then we have quiet time so that he can wake up. How would you like to "run around" with a soggy diaper? If you're too lazy to change your kid's diapers first thing in the morning then you shouldn't be having kids!

Well, since I have answered a number of your questions in the past, I will answer this one twice, once as it relates to children and once for the hidden question as to how it relates to you (and me).

When it comes a child waking up in the morning with a wet diaper on, I would most likely change it first thing so that he is comfortable and to help prevent him/her from getting a diaper rash or worse.

A lot would depend on the temperment of the baby at the time. Mine would wake up generally a half hour to an hour before I would and she would sit in her crib and play quietly until I got up. Most of the time she wouldn't fuss unless she was messy, wet didn't seem to bother her.

Now to answer your hidden question. When it comes to you and me, we both like wearing our diapers. Even though I have to wear mine 24 / 7 for medical reasons, I still enjoy wearing them and all the feelings that come with that.

That being said, I will get up in the morning, fix my breakfast and drink my juice and coffee before I even think about changing my diaper.

I look at it this way, I'm going to wet it once or twice more in that hour's time so if I change it right when I get up, I will just have to change it again before I get dressed to go to work. Why waste another clean diaper? I'll just wait until I'm done then change, either way, I'm going to wet myself no matter what so why rush to use up another diaper. Besides, you know you love that feeling as the warmth spreads out between your legs, don't you?

Good luck.

Let me put it this way, if the roles were reversed, how would you feel about being left in a diaper that you have peed and/or pooped in several times during the night while mommy and daddy have a coffee and cigarette or whatever until they are awake enough to care that you have a sore butt, covered in a rash and stinging because of the amonia in the urine....and thats even before we think about the stench. OF COURSE YOU CHANGE THE DIAPER AS SOON AS YOU GET OUT OF BED!!

Well it depends on the age of the child, because my son is two and he wakes up with a dry diaper and then after a few minutes he wants me to change his diaper.

Once I get up in the morning, it's light up a cigarette, then make my way to the bathroom to wet down a baby wash cloth, and then it's off to the baby's room to change diapers.

I change my son's diaper first thing when he wakes up. I wouldn't want to sit in pee, I am certainly not going to make him sit in it. Not to mention those diapers only hold so much before they start leaking now you've got yourself a even bigger mess to clean up.

first off i'm offended by the question because i'm a father and i changed just as many diapers as my wife dammit

that said, it always depended. if it was my kid's diaper i'd change it as soon as they woke and i knew it was wet. if it was my dad's i'll let him stew in his juices for a couple hours, the bastage

The first thing I would do is change the diaper... would YOU want to sit in that mess?
