i am studying ling..in Iran..i like sociolinguistics and discourse analysis

I'm an ELT student (PhD now), but I'm interested in linguistics hence working in applied linguistics. My major research interest is second language acquisition. My MA thesis was on syntax.

Iran's language is Persian. I don't know it really. Sorry but I just answered you in the hope that i can open the answers you get from readers and get some idea myself later.
